Inn At Portland, Portland

The hotel is a bit out of the way and not within walking distance of where we needed to go, yet for a single night, it was pricey at over $200. However, there are plenty of fast-food and restaurant options nearby. The signage is lacking, making it a bit hard to find the place.

The hotel is a bit off-putting with a separate building for rooms, which sparked some security concerns even though key card access was required. However, the rooms themselves were surprisingly comfortable, clean, and spacious, distancing themselves from the small lobby. The location felt a bit sketchy but had quick access to fast-food and restaurants, although it was further from downtown than anticipated.

The hotel is tucked behind an Asian bistro, which initially seemed unappealing and a bit sketchy, but it turned out to be very close to Portland proper and not far from downtown. The rooms had a noxious, chemical odor that was uncomfortable, although they were clean and the beds were cozy. The breakfast was just okay, and the location felt a little dodgy for my comfort level.

Upon arrival, the room felt like an icebox, had a strong smell of smoke, and was quite musky. Despite being fairly clean and tidy, I noticed mold in the coffee maker that clearly hadn't been cleaned. The room did have a nice cozy feel more like a bedroom than a typical hotel room.

The hotel seemed a little out of the ordinary being located behind a restaurant, but it turned out to be a decent place for a short stay. The room was small for a 'deluxe king,' and though it wasn't worth the $162.00 we paid, it wasn't that bad overall.
